2016 Central FL Scottish Highland Games

2016 was amazing!!! From start to finish, every moment of the games was exactly the balm we needed to kick off 2016. Last year seemed to go downhill after the games. Family trouble, world chaos, financial crisis, you name it, nothing was working quite right. But then around came the holidays and those always brighten us right up. But then New Years was over and all our focus shifted to perhaps one of the best things ever...the Highland Games!

We had no idea there would be more clans then ever. We arrived bright and early on Saturday to set up our tent. After last years debacle of sun burns, we had a new look with side "curtains". They seemed to work quite well. We also got rid of the table in front look. We felt it made us way too stuffy! So, there we were with our curtains, poster boards and comfy chairs, just waiting for people to ask about us!

Then we looked around and starting making lists of things other clans had that we definitely needed to make for ourselves. Anyone who knows us knows that our Clan has no money. We are still trying to get established. So, we worked out a plan for three brand new items for next year! Stay tuned in the coming weeks to catch a glimpse of our new ideas!

We want to share a quick thank you to all the new signups! We more than tripled our turnout from last year. With the new members, and the projects on the horizon, Clan Blackwell has kicked off 2016 in style!
