Ahh history, that word that evokes so much speculation. While most people agree on the major points, one thing is certain; history is written by the victor. Many of the finer points are forever lost under the boot heels of the conquering army. When talking about historical fact before the dark ages, one must temporarily suspend the criteria for “scientific” fact and go with what we are fairly certain happened. While it isn’t good for perfectionists, it works great for storytellers!
